High School and GED/High School Equivalency Graduates
Graduates from an accredited high school or who have obtained a GED/Certificate of High School Equivalency are eligible to enroll at Galveston College. Students must meet all general admission requirements.
Galveston College considers the following agencies when determining high school accreditation:
- Texas Education Agency
- Texas Private School Accreditation Commission
- Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (AdvancEd/Cognia)
For high schools located in a state other than Texas, Galveston College determines accreditation based on comparable agencies for that state.
Graduates from non-accredited high schools may not be eligible for federal financial aid. Please visit the Non-High School/GED page for more information.
For questions regarding accreditation, please contact the Admissions and Records Office at 409-944-1230.
